Aug 24, 2021 · Jeep Compass not starting. I bought a 2018 Jeep Compass last year (2020) and it was running perfectly fine but around Christmas it started to have issues starting. The start/ stop system became unavailable, warning lights for; Dynamic Torque steering service required, service ESC system, service forward collision warning, lane sense unavailable ... I am having the same issue with my 2020 telluride. So frustrating I've had so many issues with this car before it even hit 60,000 miles. My ESC light has come on three times now I waited a couple minutes tried to turn the wheel a little, and finally got it started, but I'm afraid to drive it around any longer. can anyone advise?Start the car and turn the wheel all the way left to lock, then turn all the way right to lock. This will reset as well. This will reset as well. If not it will need to be checked with a suitable OBD scanner tool as it may need to be recalibrated or it may have fault codes in for a faulty angle sensor and possibly may need to be replaced.2019 Jeep Compass limited.
